I realize that this isn’t a new concept. We have a system such as this intact here at Columbia in case of emergencies. Heck, I get CNN breaking news updates sent to my phone.
What I didn’t realize is how accessible this form of communication is, that even little old me could send out massive messages of my own “breaking news” to people I know. I can only begin to imagine the possibilities…

News can travel so quickly. And, anyone can be the catalyst.
