Over the past year I’ve developed an interest in photography. Of course I am as amateur as they come, but that doesn’t stop me from breaking out my camera every time I see something worth capturing (with a view on the 32nd floor…these moments usually come as I look out my window at storms or sunsets.)
For my birthday I was given a Canon Rebel XS. I’m not quite positive what that all means yet, but I am eager to find out. In the linked images, I think you can undoubtedly decipher which images were taken with my tiny Nikon point-n-shoot and which images were taken on my first experimental walk-to-the-lake “photoshoot” with my brand spankin’ new DSLR.
The way I see it: upon graduation, I will have PLENTY of time to study and learn lighting and shutter speeds and all that juicy stuff. Once I get those basics out of the way, the fun will really start. Luckily for me, I live in the most beautiful city in the world. Finding subjects will be the easy part.
